Avery and I met like most happy couples do: at a bar during dollar beer night! On a random Thursday during our sophomore year at Texas A&M, I decided to join friends at Cedar Lane. Even though Avery and I had never spoken before, we shared mutual friends. That night, one of those friends introduced me to her. We hit it off immediately. After a couple of hours of talking, Avery invited me to her Halloween date party. With her beautiful red hair, Avery made the perfect Daphne from Scooby‑Doo, and I dressed as Freddy so I could be right by her side. That one date night quickly turned into another. Before we knew it, we were spending nearly every day together. We officially began dating in December 2022. I asked her to be my girlfriend over a romantic spaghetti meal I prepared (basically the only thing I could cook).

As the years flew by, the love Avery and I shared only grew stronger. Countless dinner dates, family trips, weekend excursions to the ranch, Aggie game days, and simple quality time together created an unbreakable bond between us. Over time, we realized our happiest days were the ones spent outdoors. To this day, we love early morning hunting wake‑up calls, riding around the ranch, and being unplugged from the world together. In April 2024, we added a new member to our small family. Rooster, our giant and lovable Labradoodle, has been a joy in our lives since the second we got him. He’s always happy to tag along on every adventure we take.

I knew without a doubt that Avery was the person I wanted to spend forever with. On a hot July day at the Double B Ranch, I drove her out to a quiet overlook with a stunning view. Under the lone mesquite tree, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She was overjoyed to say yes, and the look on her face made the moment even more perfect than I imagined. The surprise didn’t end there. Back at camp, our friends and family were waiting with food, drinks, and a band ready to kick off the evening. The night was spent celebrating, dancing, and soaking in the moment with the people we love most.

As we step into this next chapter, our hearts are overflowing with excitement for the life ahead! We cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with the people who mean the most to us. Sharing this day with our friends and family makes it all the more special, and we’re beyond grateful to have you with us as we begin forever.
